Come and join our adult SLT Team based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.The joint acute and community Adult SLT Team are a friendly and supportive group of Therapists, Assistants and admin staff serving the Fylde Coast population. Due to staff movement, we are offering a 30 hours per week Band 7 post within the multidisciplinary Nutritional Support Team. Part time hours and flexible working will also be considered. We are dedicated to continued service improvement and over recent years have developed our telehealth capabilities within the community and our inpatient FEES service alongside our long-established videofluoroscopy service. We are also committed to continuing professional development and the training of SLT students.

Main duties of the job
- be responsible for and lead the provision of Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) within the multidisciplinary Nutrition Support Team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
- offer a Speech and Language Therapy opinion for people referred to the team with complex feeding needs in acute and community settings, make complex decisions and contribute toward multi-disciplinary discussions within the NST.
- be responsible for delivering high quality, evidence-based SLT management of own adult caseload who have been referred or awaiting referral into the NST.
- act as an expert SLT resource within the NST and to educate SLT colleagues, students, SLT assistants and other health professionals within the Trust.
- contribute to the Trust's clinical governance programme by participating within the specialist area for audit, development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines/protocols and continuing professional development.
- work within and adhere to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards of Practice, relevant Trust policies, procedures and guidelines.
