Job summary
The Radiology Directorate at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic CT Radiographer to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role would be a Radiographer with recent, proven experience/training within a CT department, who is competent to provide a wide range of CT examinations. Experience in IV cannulation would also be an advantage.
We will also consider applications from individuals who can demonstrate a high level of CT knowledge and a keen interest in CT Imaging to be placed into a Band 5 Training Post. Trainee radiographers will automatically progress to Band 6 once competency to work unsupervised has been achieved.
This is a busy and rapidly expanding department with a fleet of Siemens and Canon CT scanners, including a state-of-the-art CT facility located directly in the Trust's new Emergency Village development.

Main duties of the job
You will be joining a fantastic team of Radiographers who provide a comprehensive CT service including specialist procedures such as CT Colonography, Interventional CT, Cardiac CT.
The successful candidates should hope to develop significant experience in cardiac CT. As a tertiary cardiac centre we have a dedicated cardiac CT unit and run these sessions 5 days per week.
Candidates would be expected to work flexibly on a rotational shift pattern to include day shifts, long days and night shifts.
