As a clinical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the triage process where you would complete basic observations, risk assessments, full body maps, obtaining samples, IV Cannulation and blood sampling, transfer of patients and 12 Lead ECG recording. You will also be a point of focus for the junior healthcare assistants, as you will have a good experience as a band 2 Healthcare assistant, to ensure that care needs are met to a high standard throughout the unit.

Clinical Assistant (Band 3)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding team within the unscheduled care division. Short Stay Unit (SSU) is a fast paced and dynamic medical admissions unit that receives patients from AMU, ED, clinics and SDEC . Our patients are to be admitted to hospital but may only need a short admission, we aim to discharge in 72 hours. Our patients are seen, where their complaints are investigated, treated and then the patient is discharged
We are a 21 bedded area that accommodates Medical Admissions.
