Job summary
This post is based in the Directorate of Clinical Governance and Quality, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the provision of an efficient, confidential, and comprehensive administrative/secretarial service to the Dementia & LD Lead.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity.
Main duties of the job
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage, organise and prioritise own workload and provide a full range of clerical/administrative support services including:
- Work as part of the Clinical Governance Department to assist with the various administrative tasks, have the ability to deal with routine matters on own initiative and to work well as a team player
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, managers and other staff in the team and with colleagues at all levels both within the Trust and in other external organisations.
- Promote family and friends test (FFT) for people with learning disabilities and dementia
- Promote John Campaign to support people with dementia and learning disabilities
- Support the lead nurse for dementia and learning disabilities with promoting reasonable adjustments
- Minute meetings as directed
- Use 'Microsoft Office' software
- Provide effective cover for colleagues in their absence
- Use and maintain efficient and effective filing/retrieval systems, making maximum use of technology with the aim of achieving a paperless office.
- Undertake such other duties as may be required suitable to the banding of the post.
