Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Senior community nurse within an integrated community team based in north shore, Blackpool. This appealing role will enable the successful person to support the integrated leadership and management of staff and the caseload within the community care home arena to meet the needs of the population.

Interested applicants will need to be registered nurses who have relevant nursing qualifications to degree level, specialist post registration education and leadership training or equivalent experience. A minimum of two years post registration is required.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for the successful candidate to be able to:

  • assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a defined caseload
  • ensure that the care needs of the caseload are met by effective management and appropriate delegation of work to other members of the team
  • work in partnership with the primary health care team and liaise and cooperate with everyone involved in holistic patient care.
  • be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge, advanced analytical and practical skills, and the ability to communicate in a non-judgemental, empathetic way with patients, carers and other professionals.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and support staff development

The post holder will need to have good communication skills both written and verbal, have evidence of ongoing professional development and be able to work independently.
