Job summary

Sandwell & West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking an experiencedSenior Project Manager (Band 8a, 0.8 WTE)to join the Strategy and Digital Directorate as part of the Trust's Programme Management Office (PMO).

This is a key senior role within the Trust's transformation agenda, responsible for leading and delivering a portfolio of complex programmes, workstreamsand projects that support strategic development, service improvement,productivityand financial sustainability.

The post holder will work closely with executive leaders, clinical and operational teams, and divisional leadership triumvirates to ensure that Trust-wide transformation priorities are delivered effectively, sustainably and in line with best practice project management standards.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Senior Transformational Programme Lead, the Senior Project Manager will lead multiple complex transformation workstreams across the Trust, ensuring delivery against agreedobjectives,milestonesand benefits.

The role involves providing expert project management support to divisions and corporate directorates.

The post holder will line manage Project Managers and CIP Project Managers, providing leadership, coachingand professional oversight, while also influencing and supporting senior stakeholders to deliver change across organisational and professional boundaries.

To facilitate, support and at times lead the delivery of projects as directed.

For agreed, allocated work streams undertake the project manager role including the production of project documentation, development of project reporting structures, establishing and managing project groups, to ensure the projects and related service models will deliver project targets, service improvements for patients, sustainable change and working practices.

Provide regular reports establishing progress and highlighting any deviations from agreed milestones and an assessment of slippage on timescales. This may include meeting action notes/minutes.

Extract data from spreadsheets, analyse and collate data and provide information reports to project teams to support and influence the project.

Undertake audits and post project evaluation as appropriate to the project.
