Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant to join our award winning Diabetes and Endocrinology Team.
The posts has been created as part of the expansion of the medical workforce to support the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) opening and involves work within the inpatient bed base as well as outpatient activity.
Main duties of the job
The candidate will be expected to deliver care to a ward of 24 General Medical inpatients, as well as providing specialist advice in DM and Endocrinology to other teams. They will support the Think Glucose nurses and also the residents working on the ward. Although the majority of weeks will be spent working in the acute setting, other weeks will feature a mix of SPA and clinic based work.

Clinical Experience:

- oClinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology and also GIM
- oAbility to take full and independent responsibility for the management of acute medical emergencies
- oAbility to take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients

- oSpecial interest that complements the existing consultants
Management and Administrative Experience:

- oAbility to organise and prioritise workload effectively
