Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some experience in the NHS hoping to advance their skills and develop into a band 3 Admin Officer. The post would also suit someone hoping to start their career in the NHS with a thirst for learning and knowledge who is keen to developskills to set them up for a successful NHS career.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the breast screening team working with the NHSBSP (National Breast Screening Programme) to invite women in a timely manner to catch cancers early and create better outcomes.
Main duties of the job
To deal with all screening and symptomaticenquiries.
To deal with sensitive and challenging situations in a tactful and professional manner.
To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act.
To book annual symptomatic follow up and updateFamily History register.
To maintain, input and extract data from the NHSBSP National Breast Screening System (NBSS) computer system; Breast Screening Select; Image Exchange Portal; Radiology Information System (CRIS); Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) and other systems.
To adhere to the Right Result Policy as per NHSBSP guidance. Prepare Radiological consensus records, book and prepare assessment clinics andinterpreters. Post Assessment, collatePathology reports; Surgical and Oncology documentation. Produce MDM agenda, attend meeting, takeminutes and circulate outcomes.
Action and re-book clients identified as requiring technical recall.
To audit and verify results in a timely manner.
Prepare GP feedback reports and GP DNA lists to assist in increasing uptake.
Toassist in the maintenance of filing room and film packets.
Support Data Manager with preparation of interval cancer cases ensuring accurate data is available for clinical review.
Tomaintainpersonal knowledge and understanding and attend mandatory training.
To mentor junior members of the team andparticipate as an appraisee in the Personal Development Review process. To perform any other duties as required.
