Job summary

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Single Point of Access Team as a Referral Triage Administrator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering excellent patient care by ensuring that patients and service users are directed to the appropriate services that best meet their needs.

Working Hours:

We operate a 7-day service, with shifts running from 07:30 am to 20:00 pm, including coverage during bank holidays. As such, flexibility is required in this role.

Please note, our service has moved to Sandwell Council House, which will be your main base of work.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Referral and Documentation Management: Upload referrals and relevant documents to patient records accurately.
  • Communication: Receive and make telephone calls to assist patients, service users, and internal teams.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Book appointments for patients as per clinical and non-clinical requests.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties as required, including filing and record-keeping.
  • Liaison with External Agencies: Coordinate with external agencies such as GPs, NHS 111, and West Midlands Ambulance Services.

  • NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent in a health/social care/admin related subject

Experience

  • Previous NHS Experience
  • Experience of iPMS/Lorenzo/PatientFirst
  • Experience of carrying out assigned duties after training
  • Experience of working as part of a team

  • IT Literate
