Junior Specialist Doctor - Lower - FY1 Equivalent

We are seeking to an enthusiastic and hardworking doctor to join our Acute Medicine Department as a Junior Specialist doctor (F1 Equivalent) at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

This post will be a 4 month fixed term post in the first instance, starting as soon as possible with the possibility of longer term opportunities. This post would be aimed at junior grade F1 level and whilst not an approved training post we would endeavor to provide training opportunities.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must be post qualification and have GMC Registration with a license to practice.

The post will allow you to consolidate your experience in a supportive General Medicine environment, giving you wide ranging clinical exposure in a progressive Trust that has won numerous national and local awards.

The role as an F1 equivalent will involve working alongside senior doctors (consultant and registrars) to implement management plans for patients. This will give you the opportunity to develop various skills including arrangement of diagnostics, prescribing, referrals to other specialists and writing discharge letters.

You will also get the opportunity to clerk new patients and work in our same day emergency care.

You will also work out of hours and develop your experience in working on-calls, this will also give you the opportunity to review unstable patients as part of the emergency response team
