Junior Specialist Doctor (JSD) (Lower) FY1 equivalent
in Gastroenterology
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic doctor to join the Gastroenterology Firm on Ward C8 at MMUH for a period of 4 months.
A ward based role within the Department of Gastroenterology, providing care for patients with primarily Gastroenterology conditions including upper GI bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, Liver disease, nutrition and GI cancer.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with the other doctors, nurses and therapists in the Gastroenterology Firm to look after patients on the Gastroenterology Ward.
Duties will include:
-Clerking patients
-Attending ward rounds
-Ordering investigations
-Documenting in patient electronic records
-Carrying out clinical skills
-Patient discharge summaries
There will also be on-call duties on the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
