Job summary
This is a 12 month fixed term post to cover maternity leave and will initially be based primarily at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. The post holder will also be required to work at any of the Trust's sites, City Health Campus and Sandwell Health Campus.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide, with the other doctors in the radiology, routine and emergency radiology specialty services to the Trust, operating a system of mutual out-of-hours cover, and cover for annual, study and professional leave.
2. To liaise with medical staff in other specialties and participate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities in the Trust.
3. Assessment and initiation of management of patients in radiology under the supervision of Consultant staff.
4. Prompt assessment of patients referred for admission from Emergency Department and general practitioners
