Job summary

SWB are currently looking for a Community Phlebotomist to join our Trust. You will be working within a team, be able to use your initiative and be willing to acquire new skills and knowledge. Attention to detail will be a key characteristic. You must be able to work in a busy environment and have a strongly held commitment to high standards of service delivery.

We are looking for well-organized, motivated, enthusiastic, friendly individuals with excellent communication skills to join our Community Phlebotomy Service.

Main duties of the job

To obtain blood samples from in patients, mainly in their own homes.

IT skills are required to use our Systmone appointment and patient record system.

This role is ideally suited for someone who is caring, friendly and has an extremely steady hand. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work and communicate with a large team across multiple sections.

About us

YHP is a primary care network, with 40,000+ registerd patients with 6 locations across the Black country.

Outlets are based in Oakham. Rowley Regis, Old hill, Whiteheath, West-Bromwich and Great Bridge. The community phlebotomist role would serve the housebound population of our surgeries.

You will part of our large nursing team and be supported by a clinical line manager within the house bound team.

The role is integral in supporting the wider team ensuring that housebound patinets are offered timely medication and blood montioring, ensuring safe and effective care.

We are a caring team that offer all the services provided by the trust since we vertically intergraed in 2019.
