We are looking for an RGN with a clear interest in developing their career within Coronary Care nursing. You will be supported within your 'mentor team' in developing your new role and in the achievement of completing our in-house nursing development programme during your first twelve months.
Main duties of the job
There is rotation between a 17 bedded female and a 20 bedded male ward as well as our cardiology day case unit which will enable you to build your skills within cardiology. In our Cardiology day case unit you will care for elective patients undertaking a variety of cardiac procedures including coronary angiograms/stenting, pacemaker implantation, cardioversions and transoesophageal echocardiograms. There is also an opportunity to rotate into our two state of the art Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories where you will assist in both planned and emergency procedures.
