Job summary
We are seeking to recruit hardworking doctors to join our Paediatric Department as Junior Specialist Doctor (Higher) at MMUH Hospital. This post will be 6 months - 1 year fixed term posts in the first instance starting from as soon as possible with the possibility of longer term opportunities within the Trust subject to performance, progress and vacancies. These posts would be at aimed at middle grade ST4+ level (ie 4 years post qual/post foundation level) and whilst not approved training posts we would mirror the training opportunities to those given to training post holders. The JSD Paeds post will allow you to consolidate your experience in a supportive Paeds environment, giving you wide ranging clinical exposure and training in a progressive Trust that has won numerous national and local awards. We envisage that the JSD would act as a stepping stone into specialty training and we would look to encourage and fully support successful completion of Paediatric exams.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will have a minimum of 4 years full time training (post qualification) and experience in Paediatrics at ST3 or higher grade or equivalent and with at least 6 months in Neonates, full GMC Registration with a license to practice and up to date APLS certification.
