Job summary

Join our team of nurses within our 2 cardiac catheterisation labs and our cardiology day case unit, with capacity for 12 patients.

Our cardiac catheterisation labs serve both acute and elective patients, and provide an excellent 24/7 Primary PCI service.

The cardiology inpatient wards at City hospital have a 17 bedded female CCU and a 20 bedded male CCU.

You shoulld be passionate about the speciality and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. A commitment to learning and quality improvement to support patient safety is a must. In return you will be given the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and knowledge and be supported by a knowledgable team, we have an in house Professional Development Nurse to further support you.

Main duties of the job

Rotate between cardaic cath labs and cardiology day case unit, be involved in pre and post procedure care.

Provide direct care to patients undergoing a varierty of procedures in cath lab, such as angiograms/angioplasty, pacing, ptmc.

Care for patients undergoing TOE and Cardioversion.

To particiapte in an on call rota

Develop scrub nurse skills

Promote team work within a multidisciplinary team.
