Applicants are invited for 3 posts of Clinical fellow in Cardiology with training in general cardiology and basic subspecialty training (imaging, coronary angiogram, pacemaker and heart failure therapy) .
Main duties of the job
The appointee will participate in the registrar of the week system for inpatients and be on call for cardiology including assisting at primary PCI. Our Cardiology unit is fully equipped to perform advanced angioplasty, Brady pacing & complex devices and imaging including complex echocardiography, CTCA and cardiac MRI. The post is suitable for those individuals who wish to gain more experience in cardiology to support their application for NTN or completion CESR. The post is based primarily at City Hospital, Birmingham. The Department has 14 full time Consultant Cardiologists and 2 Professors of Cardiology.
