Following significant investment in our service, the Nutrition and Dietetics Service at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is excited to recruit a clinical specialist to work within our community dietetic services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an innovative individual who is motivated by MDT working and keen to work with and support a specialist community caseload of patients who have suffered from a stroke. The successful postholder will be a key member of the Integrated Care Stroke Services multidisciplinary team delivering integrated care across patients homes, care homes and at our community rehabilitation hospital. It is an exciting time for our stroke services as our we innovate in readiness for our acute stroke services move to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in 2024 and our stroke rehabilitation services (12 beds) to Rowley Regis Hospital.
You will work alongside our growing community nutrition and dietetic services and closely with nutrition nurses and dietetic peers. You will need to use highly developed interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders. We train dietetic students from Coventry University and Birmingham College University.
