Job summary
Designing and delivering training to end users of EPR systems, using a variety of methods (e.g. classroom training and online training).
Main duties of the job
The EPR System Trainer will work to develop end user training modules reflecting a number of care settings and releases of software for various EPR Systems, some local and some provided by external companies, and then are responsible for the delivery of end user training and support to a range of health care staff.Training will need to be flexible to meet the needs of large groups of users for new releases and/or smaller groups of new joiners.All trainers will undergo training in advance of the need to deliver end user training and be expected to participate in ongoing professional development to maintain their skills and knowledge as software is developed.

- Able to demonstrate training experience. Specialist IT training and/or Specialist NHS system training experience, delivering training to delegates of all levels.
- Alternatively, candidates who do not have such specialist training experience may be considered; such candidates would need to demonstrate familiarity gained from regular working use of more than one specialist NHS IT system.
Desirable
- Experience of training in a NHS environment
- Experience of creating eLearning using a package such as Adobe Captivate
- Experience of using a learning management system (LMS)
Qualifications
Essential
- Recognised training qualification or the equivalent level of knowledge and experience in training and supporting staff.
- A broad general education to degree level or equivalent experience
- Possess or be working towards ECDL or possess at least a level 2 IT qualification e.g. IBT2, Clait Plus
Desirable
- Willing to undertake training courses to expand knowledge.
- Advanced ECDL
