An exciting opportunity has become available within the iCares directorate. We are looking for a band 6 nurse to join the Heart Failure Team for *approximately a 6-month period to cover maternity leave with the possibility of extending to 12months.
The successful individual will be given the opportunity to broaden and develop their skills in Heart Failure and work more autonomously within the team.
We are looking for a candidate with experience within the heart failure/cardiology setting. You will need to demonstrate your commitment to nursing patients with heart failure and be able to make clinical decisions regarding patient care.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve assessment and management of heart failure patients in their own home or clinic setting, and include administration of intravenous diuretic therapy (IV Furosemide) in the patient's own home, with the aim of promoting patient quality of life and avoiding hospital admissions.
The post holder must also have important essential links with community multi-disciplinary teams, and close integration with community respiratory services which provides good working relationships, further learning opportunities, good staff support, and effective timely patient care.
Must have full UK driving license with access to car.
Please note this is a secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
