Job summary
The SWBT Safeguarding Team has a full time vacancy for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and innovative Associate Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children. Applicants must hold a registerable nursing qualification and have recent experience of safeguarding children and young people. Previous experience of working within a Safeguarding Team would be an advantage.
We are passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and provide high quality safeguarding support for all practitioners across our acute hospitals and community services using a 'Think Family' approach; whilst also working closely with our Multi Agency Partners to ensure the Trust meets all statutory obligations.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a skilled practitioner with a clinical registration and recent experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
The post holder will work with the Associate Named Nurses/Named Nurses, School Health Nursing team and the wider Safeguarding team; to ensure that the organisation meets its safeguarding children's responsibilities and that children are effectively safeguarded.
The post holder will provide expert advice, support, training, and safeguarding children supervision to health staff across SWBT.
The post holder will contribute to the multi-agency partnership working arrangements for safeguarding children across Sandwell.
