Job summary

The catering department at Sandwell Hospital is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Assistant working in stores within the main catering department

Duties include using a receiving deliveries, completing temperature checks, delivering stores to wards & departments,clean duties, deep cleaning and completion of control paperwork.

Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative.

Hours average 15hours per week

Shift pattern

4 week rosta,

Week 1 & Week 3 - Monday & Thursday 13.00pm - 17.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 06.00am - 09.30am.

Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 13.00pm - 17.00pm.

Week 4 - Monday, Tuesday and Friday 13.00pm - 17.00pm

Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to hours and duties and able to work additional shifts as and when required.

Main duties of the job

To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with Staff, Patients and Members of the Public.
