Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist with experience in Stroke and Neurology to join our growing team as a Band 6.
Working as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in the SWBH Stroke and Neurology service you will have the opportunity to rotate across the acute ward, rehabilitation ward, Early Supported Discharge Team and Integrated Community Stroke Service to asses, treat and support patients during all stages of their rehabilitation journey.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to perform specialist physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse stroke & neurology presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver a specialised individual treatment programme.

- Sufficient postgraduate experience to demonstrate ability to meet the personal specification and fulfil the job description, including experience within the specialist field of Stroke and Neurology.
- Experience of delegating to and supervising Physiotherapy/ Rehabilitation Assistants.
- Contribution to the clinical education of less experienced staff or undergraduate Physiotherapy students
- Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and the wider MDT.
Desirable
- Involvement in audit and research
- Experience using FES and Orthotics
- BBTA Normal Movement Module
Qualifications
