Job summary
To be the lead clinician across a range of non-clinical settings, primarily in patients homes and care settings, to co-ordinate, plan and deliver a high quality, seamless level of care in a domiciliary setting. To be in constant liaison with other senior colleagues both internal and external to foot health involved in the care of these high risk individuals which includes but is not exclusive to the treatment of complex and highly complex diabetic foot conditions.
Main duties of the job

Undertake highly developed specialist therapeutic assessment of patients presenting with complex co-morbidities and challenging to care for their feet.
Develop a diagnosis and treatment plan to assist in the prevention of avoidable foot health crisis including amputations, infections and admissions.
Line manage a team of Podiatrists including clinical performance reviews, peer reviews and clinical support.
Provide clinical leadership
To work closely with other health care professionals including diabetic specialist nurses, vascular surgeons/consultants, biomechanics specialist podiatrists, tissue viability nurses and pain management services.
Lead the supervision and assessment of undergraduate and post graduate Podiatry students.
