Support Time Recovery Worker

Job summary

We are seeking a Support Time Recovery Worker (STR) to join our busy team at Britton House in Gillingham.

As an STR Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to live fulfilling lives.

You'll provide recovery-focused mental health interventions, practical support with daily living, and help individuals access community resources.

You will also assist with physical health monitoring, including phlebotomy and ECGs, and contribute to therapeutic groups and post-diagnostic sessions.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver recovery-focused mental health interventions.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of therapeutic groups and interventions for clients and carers.
  • Assist with physical health monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote diversity and respect individuality in all aspects of care.

  • NVQ level 3 in a care related subject or equivalent level of training and/or experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate a good level of English and Maths skills.

Desirable

  • Trained (or willing to train) in Venepuncture, ECG and physical health monitoring.

Experience

Essential

  • Experiences including individual and group interventions in mental health specialties
  • Experience of working with people with dementia and their carers.

Desirable

  • Experience of facilitating therapeutic groups.
  • Experience of working with people suffering from functional mental illness. Experience of working with people with dementia and their carers.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for both vulnerable adults and children
  • Basic IT skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and co-operatively as part of an inter-professional team, respecting and valuing different contributions. oAbility to travel from patient homes and work site in a timely manner day to day.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of RiO patient record systems.
