Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Senior Clinical Lead to take on the clinical leadership responsibility for the DGS MHT+ team to a team of clinicians from different professions.

If successful, you will ensure a high-quality service is provided and care is delivered to all service users on the DGS MHT+ caseload who are experiencing Mental Health difficulties , by the Trust's policies and procedures and the care programme approach.

The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Main duties of the job

  • Contribute to the implementation of clinical and interdisciplinary strategies to ensure the delivery of a high standard of care and service objectives and to the overall corporate objectives of the organisation.
  • Work as a member of the community mental health team , ensuring team clinical performance is optimised, meeting agreed KPIs and ensuring that DGS MHT + is a responsive service providing timely assessment and offering a range of treatment interventions .
  • Have robust working relationships with colleagues within the acute and community settings; liaison psychiatry, place of safety, and inpatient teams, so seamless acute care is provided for service users.

What is High Cost Area Allowance?

The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas.

As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month.

5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,303 per year and a maximum payment of £2,198 per year (the agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly) (2025 figures).
