Job summary

Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). The Early Intervention in Psychosis Services (EIP) and now including the A Risk Mental State (ARMS) pathway are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join the service. Intent on providing evidence-based interventions, this service is committed to providing good quality psychological therapies for people with psychosis and their families.

Experience in Mental health (especially psychosis) and additional Specialist Postgraduate Qualification to Masters level or equivalent in relevant Family and/ or Systemic Psychotherapy is necessary for the role.

The Early Intervention for Psychosis Service is a well-respected and well-established multi-disciplinary service with a reputation for excellence. The EIP psychological therapies service is integrated within the EIP service and committed to providing support, excellent supervision and todeveloping its staff.

Main duties of the job

Family work is an integral part of EIP care offered to service users and their carers/family members. You would be responsible for offering high quality family interventions and lead on carer interventions/education programs across the East Kent EIP teams. Case consultation, supervision and joint working with staff in the multidisciplinary teams will also be an expectation.

You will have plenty of scope and support to develop your own practice, whilst providing a highly professional service to people with psychosis and to their families.
