Job summary
A team player is required for a busy Mental Health Act team based within Little Brook Hospital, Bow Arrow Lane, Dartford. You will need to be flexible, able to prioritise your workload and have excellent communication skills.
The role will involve assisting the Mental Health Act Teams across three localities, including scanning and uploading documents onto patient's computer records and checklists. Assisting with the e-medication system. Sending patient letter, answering the telephone for the department. Assisting the MHA Co-ordinator when an onsite patient review is taking place.
What is High Cost Area Allowance?The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas. As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month. (The agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly).
Main duties of the job
Undertake any administrative duties deemed appropriate by the Head of Service.
This will include, but not be limited to the handling sensitive material and scanning. Uploading and filing Mental Health Act documentation.
Room bookings for meetings to take place (virtual and in person).
Work on own initiative to prioritise administrative procedures to meet the requirements of the department, and to work efficiently as part of a team.
Undertake training and attend regular updates to achieve a working knowledge of the Act in order to carry out procedures with understanding and to provide basic advice to staff and clients when the Mental Health Administrators are absent
