Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an expanding and dynamic Mental Health Act Team in Dartford.
The post holder ideally would suit someone with Mental Health Act knowledge and experience alongside the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment. The candidate must be able to adapt their workload to meet the needs of the service and at times work alone as well as within a wider team. Prioritising is a must for this post, alongside general administration skills.
The post is 22.5 hours across three days 7.5 hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Days are not negotiable.
Main duties of the job
- Scrutinising section paperwork with the meaning of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
- Liaising with service users and doctors and other professional teams to arrange patient tribunals.
- Undertaking audits across acute wards in line with the Mental Health Act standards.
- Providing training to nurses, doctors and other allied professionals.
- Excellent communication skills are required to ensure the best possible liaison for patients.
