Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Accounting Manager to join our Financial Accounting team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management and reporting of the Trust's non-current assets. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the financial health and strategic direction of the organisation.

Main duties of the job
- Develop and implement comprehensive capital accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee the accurate and timely recording, valuation, and depreciation of non-current assets.
- Provide complex financial information and advice to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness within capital processes.
- Act as a liaison point for external bodies such as NHS Shared Business Services, VAT advisors, and HMRC.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- To ensure the Trusts' fixed asset register is complete and reconciled to the general ledger.
- To lead on the valuation process.
- To ensure VAT is accounted for correctly and recovered from HMRC where allowable and to provide a liaison point for external bodies such as NHS Shared Business Services, VAT advisors, and HMRC
