Job summary
A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Administrator to join the West Kent and Medway Neuropsychiatry and Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Teams.
The West Kent and Medway Neuropsychiatry and Neuropsychology teams are two different services but work closely together to ensure we provide an excellent service to our clients. We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, forward-thinking and flexible Assistant Administrator to work with the administration team based at Darent House, Sevenoaks with the flexibility to work at our Coxheath offices on an agreed/occasional basis as required.
The ideal candidate will be educated to GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent, and will have strong customer service skills, a professional and confident telephone manner, good organisational and keyboard skills. Some experience in clinical or document typing would be an advantage.
You will require good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.
You would be working as part of an Admin Team, supporting the Administrators for Neuropsychology and Neuropsychiatry, the wider Clinical Teams consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists and Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
The varied role of an Assistant Administrator will include:

- Diary Management and booking of clinic appointments.
- Having contact with patients, carers, relatives and other external stakeholders.
- Typing letters and reports via BigHand (audio) and/or copy typing.
- Using the patient record system RIO (training provided).
- Taking and screening phone calls and taking messages
- Minuting meetings when required
- Ordering of stationery and other items as required via our SBS system (training provided).
- Reception cover; meeting and greeting patients
