Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, conscientious person to the role of Liaison and Diversion Practitioner (LDP) within the Criminal Justice Liaison & Diversion Service (CJLDS).
CJLDS is a countywide service to Kent and Medway's Police custody suites, Magistrates, Crown Courts and the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service with an excellent reputation for service user care and stakeholder engagement.
*Please note - This post is for an LDP to be based in East Kent, covering Margate, Canterbury and/or Folkestone custody suites*
Main duties of the job
As an LDP you will be screening and signposting individuals in Police custody suites, identifying health and social vulnerabilities that may be having a negative impact on health and well-being. You will also form part of the CJLDS Support, Time, Recovery (STR) function in the community, supporting aftercare for clients who are involved in the criminal justice system.

The successful applicant will be based in East Kent but at times will need to work flexibly to serve our custody suites and community settings in response to service need. Therefore, an ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely manner is essential.
Please note that due to the custody environment, this role is subject to full vetting by Kent Police.
