Hi my name is Charlotte and I am the Team Manager for Wakefield CAMHS ReACH Team, and we are looking for a dynamic clinical lead to join our Crisis service.

The team provides Intensive Home Based Treatment and support to children and young people, alongside our innovative recovery pathway. The team covers 7 days a week 9am-8pm 365 days per year. The role will be predominately 9-5 Monday-Friday, however flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the service. The role will be split giving you the chance to work clinically within the team, providing therapeutic input, advice and supervision whilst also contributing significantly to the trust development and strategic agenda.

As Lead Clinician you will be at the heart of developing and enhancing clinical pathways within the service. Alongside this you will support a diverse team of professionals, from a range of clinical backgrounds, providing clinical and caseload supervision.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an individual who will:

- Demonstrate passion and drive to work with young people and families in mental health crisis.

- Be a driven, enthusiastic and forward thinking leader.

- Have a clear interest in the development of the clinical skills of the staff within CAMHS service.

- Have extensive experience working in CAMHS services.

- Have a range of experience of leading projects or other clinically based initiatives

- Be experienced in the delivery of clinical and caseload management supervision

- The post also involves attendance at a variety of meetings in order to discuss complex cases as well as liaison with other services

- Ensuring high standards of record keeping across the team and personally

- Supporting recruitment and induction

- Developing and maintaining supportive professional networks across the trust.

- To actively promote excellent working relationships and communication with referring teams and partner agencies.

To manage and coordinate rotas for all disciplines within CAMHS specific to their own area of specialism.

To support the Clinical Governance Lead within the service and participate in the development and maintenance of governance processes, i.e. clinical incident reporting, risk management.

Contribute to the induction of new starters in the service.

Responsible for first line resolution of complaints in line with Trust policy.

Responsible for budgetary requirement of equipment necessary for clinical interventions.

RESEARCH

The post-holder will identify and undertake R and D activity, where appropriate, and be responsible for regular audit projects/service evaluations and for the development of research projects in line with evidence based practice.

To participate and take a lead role in audit, service evaluation and quality management initiative.

The post-holder will deliver and supervise others to participate in audit pertaining to their specialist area ensuring agreed results are implemented.

To utilise theory, evidence based literature and research to support evidence based practice in work with client and that of the service planning, development and delivers. To maintain links with academic institutions.
