The role of Senior Pharmacy Assistant
is open to those who already hold the NVQ level 2 qualification in pharmacy
services, and who meet all essential criteria.
The role of Pharmacy Assistant
is open to those who do not hold the NVQ level 2 qualification, but
where all other essential criteria is met.
For the right candidate this will be offered as an apprenticeship (apprenticeship
funding is subject to eligibility check).
Upon completion of the
apprenticeship and other work-based competencies (within agreed
timeframes), the successful individual will progress to the
role of senior pharmacy assistant.
Standard working pattern is
9am until 5pm Mon-Fri with weekend commitment.

Main duties of the job
The
successful candidate will work in the dispensary at Fieldhead Hospital and
provide support to our inpatient services with regards to medicines supply.
Key
result areas include:
Work
with a wide range of healthcare professionals in ensuring service users receive
medicines in a timely and safe manner.
Dispense
medication to inpatients and outpatients under the care of SWYFT
Provide
a stock top up service to inpatient units
Support
the procurement of medication
Reception/administrative
tasks to support day to day functioning of the dispensary.
Maintain
and manage stock levels within the department.
Participate
in the weekend and bank holiday rota (1 in 10 Saturdays 10am until 12pm)
At
the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set
