Job summary

Are you a qualified Occupational Health Nurse Advisor with proven experience in an occupational health setting and ready to take on a role in a dynamic, nurse-led service? In this role, you will not only work independently carrying out complex management referral assessments, pre-employment assessments, and providing expert advice via our clinician helpline, but you will also take a proactive and collaborative role in service development, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring clinical governance standards are met. You will champion best practice, support decision-making, and contribute to strategic planning to enhance the quality and reach of our service.

Main duties of the job

You will collaborate closely with an experienced multi-disciplinary teamincluding RMNs, physiotherapists, OTs, and counsellorswhile acting as a key point of clinical leadership within the nurse-led model.

JOB SUMMARY

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will provide a high quality occupational health service to LYPFT and SWYPFT and external contracts, in accordance with trust policies and procedures. Post holder would be expected to regularly travel to satellite clinics throughout a wide geographical area. Post holder will assist and support the head of occupational health in delivery of an affective and high quality evidence based occupational health service. The post holder will be required to provide professional mentorship and supervision to other MDT colleagues under the direction of the head of occupational health and undertake highly complex case management and line with the equality act 2010. The post holder will be required to undertake a comprehensive range of occupational Health's activities including

The post holder will be responsible for the department in the absence of the head of occupational health.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Professional Practice

  • To promote and maintain the health and safety and wellbeing of all trust employees by ensuring complex OH advice is based on best evidence based practice
  • Work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional standards and guidelines including maintenance of confidentiality
  • Work in partnership with all key stakeholders e.g. health & Safety, Infection Prevention & Control, MDT OH Colleagues
