Although hosted within an NHS
Trust we are independent and our work is commissioned by a range of funders
including GP practices, primary care networks (PCNs), NHS Leadership Academies,
Public Health, Local Authorities, ICBs/ICSs and grant funders such as the
National Lottery Community Fund. We have a small core team (hosted and employed
by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) and we work closely
with a team of Altogether Better associates across the country in the delivery
of our work.
We are seeking a motivated and
enthusiastic part-time Project Management Support Officer who will provide day
to day project management support with a focus on the operational and
logistical aspects of our work around the country.
The post is fixed term for 12
months and will be home based, so the postholder can be based anywhere in the
country, as are our other team members. We are happy to consider secondments.

Main duties of the job
Support the day to day operational and logistical delivery of Altogether
Betters portfolio of programmes, working closely with ABs Director and key
associate team members and taking a lead on administrative aspects of our work.
Support ABs Director in seeking and securing a range of income streams to
ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation. For example, preparing operational budgets,
delivery timelines and milestones, options appraisals, business cases,
contributing to tender preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy of
contractual paperwork.
Set up and manage systems and procedures to ensure that all our
contractual/grant obligations are met.
Undertake key business processes such as procurement of suppliers to meet
business needs and monitoring budget income/expenditure.
Use analytical skills to gather, analyse, interpret and report on activity
and evaluation data in a way that is accessible to different audiences
Lead on ensuring Altogether Better online presence is current
and active, eg capturing stories and news from our work in order to update
website, post to LinkedIn etc, bringing in specialist expertise where necssary.
At
the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements set

participants on our leadership development programmes and people who gift their
time as Practice health champions/help to codesign and co-deliver health
services.
Provide day to day operational and logistical support
in the delivery of Altogether Betters portfolio of programmes, working closely
with ABs Director and key associate team members.
With ABs Director explore
and support securing a range of potential income streams to ensure the long
term sustainability of the organisation.
For example, preparing operational budgets, delivery timelines and
milestones, options appraisals, business cases, contribute to tender
preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy of contractual paperwork.
To monitor and report on,
with the support of SWYPFTs finance team, operational and delivery budgets
ensuring invoices are issued in a timely manner and allocated to appropriate
cost codes.
To manage external
relationships with relevant organisations to meet business needs (for example
CPD certification provider).
Manage internal relationships
with key staff in SWYPFT to support Altogether Betters activity, including
Finance, Procurement, HR and IMT.
Manage and process matters arising, taking action
to ensure urgent issues are dealt with appropriately.
Lead on designated projects or elements of projects
and programmes. Support, facilitate and monitor progress of projects
formulating and adjusting plans, maintaining awareness of risks and mitigating
actions. Support staff with project delivery. Resolve project delivery
problems. Plan key work streams in relation to projects.
Communicate information clearly and effectively
with the team and others, receiving, handling and forwarding as necessary
incoming and outgoing correspondence (email, letter, and telephone).
