CONSULTANT IN FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Medical team based at Cheswold Park Hospital. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the male low secure pathway. We are seeking a 13 PA 1 year fixed term Consultant to join the low secure mens inpatient service (Esk ward) and low secure ASD in-patient service (Wentbridge) due to vacancy following takeover of Cheswold Park Hospital since October 2024 and staff moving outside the trust. The job entails cover of a 16 bedded male low secure ward with both Mental illness and Personality disorder service lines. Additionally the post holder will be the allocated RC in charge of patients medical treatment for patients on Wentbridge Ward (male ASD low secure).
The starting salary for this post is
aligned with point 04 of the consultant pay scale (£119,490 - £145,478), in line with
Trust policy for newly appointed consultants. Placement on the scale will be
reviewed where applicable NHS consultant experience can be evidenced.
