The FOLS LDA service is available to people over the age of 18 with a diagnosis of learning disability and/or autism who have offended or are at risk of offending. The service covers Leeds and Bradford as well as the SWYPFT footprint, and a key part of the role is networking with partner agencies such as Probation, police colleagues, Local Authorities, and community mental health and learning disability teams. The FOLS psychology team is also closely linked with other psychology provision across the All Age Forensic Community Service (AAFCS).

At the time of advertising, this role does meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. We look forward to receiving your application.

The role will provide a psychological perspective to care, alongside supporting others in provision of therapeutic intervention.

Your development will be supported by an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist. We also have trainee and assistant psychologists within the service, and the post-holder would be involved in their supervision. Existing experience in forensic risk assessment would be advantageous, but training and development within the role will be available. There will also be opportunities to develop offence-focussed intervention pathways within the service, delivering interventions both directly with service users and through support and supervision of non-psychological colleagues.
