We have an exciting
opportunity to join the Forensic Outreach Liaison Service for Learning
Disability and/or Autism (FOLS LDA) as team manager. The FOLS LDA service work
with adults with a diagnosed learning disability and/or autism who are at risk
of contact, or in contact with, the criminal justice system. The service covers
West Yorkshire and Barnsley and is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
FOLS is an evolving, dynamic service that provides a formulation driven, trauma
informed and strengths-based approach to risk management, working towards the
six core functions for FOLS teams laid out in Transforming Care. Clinical
decisions and risk management are regularly reviewed together as an MDT. The team provides risk assessment, direct therapeutic interventions and
supports transitioning out of secure settings to patients, as well as
consultation, advice, supervision and training to relevant services and
partners.

Main duties of the job
The
team manager post sits within the senior leadership structure. The post-holder
will co-ordinate the day-to-day operational running of the team. They will
ensure quality standards are met via audit, evaluation and supervision to the
team, including supporting colleagues in appraisal and professional
development. As FOLS is an evolving service, the post holder will support and
lead on projects aimed to improve and expand the service, working in tandem
with the senior leadership and management teams. FOLS are one of the All Age
Community Forensic Teams within SWYFT and work alongside the three sister
teams.
