Job summary
A unique opportunity for an experienced band 5, or newly qualified Nurse/Social Worker/OT to undertake a development post, leading to a Band 6 role after 12 months (if competencies are met). You will be supported through a programme of training and experience to develop your understanding of trauma-informed practice and support the implementation of trauma-informed care.
The role is based within the CAMHS team embedded within Adel Beck Secure Childrens Home, home to up to 24 young people, either remanded or sentenced, or placed under S.25 of the Childrens Act, 1989. You will be supported to develop skills to work alongside care and education professionals as part of the team around the child and to influence external professionals in seeking appropriate transition packages for young people.
Newly qualified staff will be supported through Preceptorship/ASYE.

Main duties of the job
With support, you will be aligned to one of the house units (8 residents) within Adel Beck. You will be responsible for screening assessment, risk assessment and management and care planning, as well as the delivery of interventions to young people open to the CAMHS team. This includes supporting colleagues to recognise mental health needs, completing specialist assessment and intervention and assessment of mental health presentation. You will be supported through a programme of training and experience to work as a trauma-informed pracitioner.
Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying clinical duties.
With support, Championing trauma-informed care across the secure childrens home.
Contribute to clinical MDT meetings and wider forums regarding the care needs of young people.
Engage with clinical and management supervision.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely transition planning, promoting the continuation of trauma-informed, formulation led care.
