My name is
Lindsey Hoather, I am the team manager for CAMHS at Wetherby YOI and I am
seeking a Band 6 (Registered professional) Mental Health Practitioner to join my
team.
This new role
will be responsive to the clinical needs of duty tasks including responding to
risk, completing the Comprehensive Health Assessment Tool (CHAT) assessment
with children arriving at Wetherby YOI and supporting wellbeing. As this is a new role there will be
opportunities to shape it around the required tasks.
You will liaise
with a multitude of partners to support the mental health needs of the young
people, within which regular meetings are held.
Supporting and identifying who requires a service utilising a
multidisciplinary team perspective on the young people with whom you work, and
we welcome your reflections and contributions in discussions of other young
people on the pathways.
Liaison,
communication, and consultation with other professional groups within the YOI
will be necessary to ensure that robust and holistic care plans are established
around young people.

Main duties of the job
This
post is subject to a DBS check and prison verification. You will work
alongside the local Clinical Leadership Team and Operational Manager to support
teams in the achievement of clinical excellence, patient safety and regulatory
assurance across a range of healthcare services for young people. Experience of
working within a CAMHs, Forensic or LAC service would be advantageous.
HMYOI Wetherby
is the largest secure provision in the country for young males and females aged
between 15 and 19. As part of the service there are two units that provide
enhanced provisions for children identified with more complex and challenging
needs. The service is underpinned by the Framework for Integrated Care which is
a developmentally and trauma informed mental health service model.

- To be committed to a quality approach for patient care.
