Kirklees Talking Therapies
Service are excited to welcome applications for a Senior Psychological
Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) to work across Kirklees within the Talking
Therapies Team. This is an ideal opportunity for qualified PWPs looking to broaden
their experience working in primary care.
As an applicant you must have completed
a Talking Therapies approved PWP training course and have experience of working
in mental health services. Additionally, you will hold a Talking Therapies
supervision qualification.
As a Senior Phycological
Wellbeing practitioner you will provide Case management and Clinical
Supervision to both qualified and trainee PWPs with the direction of our
Specialist Psychotherapist.
We offer our assessments and
treatment sessions via Face to Face, Telephone, Microsoft Teams, and group
work
Team Background
The service provides NICE
compliant psychotherapy incorporating CBT, Counselling and Guided Self Help to
clients in primary care across Kirklees. This is an 8-8 service Monday to
Friday, and we offer sessions either by Microsoft Teams, telephone or face to
face.

Main duties of the job
We hold clinics both in Trust
premises and also in primary care settings across the area to ensure that
were, as much as possible, nearby for the people that use the service.
We treat clients with common
mental health problems such as depression or anxiety and consistently achieve
our recovery target of 52% helping to make a difference to peoples lives.

As a Senior
Phycological Wellbeing practitioner your main duties will be providing clinical
and case management supervision to both qualified and trainee PWPs.
As a service we encourage our SPWPs to be involved in
various projects, service promotion and service development.
We offer our assessments and treatment sessions via Face to
Face, Telephone, Microsoft Teams, and group work.
We understand that supervision, CPD and training are
essential to your work as a PWP, and as such we are committed to supporting you
to develop your skills and practise by offering supervision in line with the
IAPT manual and we offer a CPD programme thought the year.

- Ability to demonstrate a range of demonstrable post-qualifying experiences in offering and delivering the range of evidence-based IAPT low intensity interventions such as computerised CBT and guided self help and group psycho-education to high volumes of people
- Consolidated and reflective supervised post-qualifying experience, preferably in NHS or Social Services setting.
- Significant experience of working with people with common mental health problems
- Experience of working within the IAPT culture
- Experience of working with clients who self-harm
- Experience of working with suicidal clients and of risk management
- Experience of delivering PWP groups to large numbers of people
- Experience of undertaking assessments and follow-up work with people over the telephone
- Substantial experience of IAPT LI Case Management supervision
- Ability to manage own time effectively and efficiently, using agile working principles
- Experience of providing evidence-based practice/clinical governance
- Experience of undertaking suicide risk assessments
- Experience of working in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
