Job summary
Seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Senior Clinical Psychologist for temporary post to cover maternity leave.
This is a split post across Calderdale core team (3 days per week) and Calderdale Lower Valley Enhanced team (2 days per week).
The Calderdale Core team is a collaborative adult mental health team, comprised of mental health nurses, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, support workers and clinical and counselling psychologists and psychotherapists. We are embracing trauma informed practice and exciting developments in mental health community transformation.
Lower Valley Enhanced team work with people with complex mental health conditions, who require a correspondingly complex package of care i.e. multiple interventions which require coordination, positive risk management and high levels of support/supervision. Service users accessing the team may present with higher risks and more behaviours that challenge, who can also be difficult for services to engage (or sometimes over-engage) in community care and treatment and who require more assertive community treatment models, sophisticated risk management and frequent input from a range of specialist practitioners. The Enhanced team work closely with external agencies as a larger multidisciplinary team to manage risk and to support service users to lead positive and fulfilled lives.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a senior clinical psychologist with experience of working at 8a level with service users with complex psychological and mental health needs.
We are particularly looking for individuals who have a strong interest or experience of working with adults with complex psychological problems, and of delivering psychological therapies to this client group alongside offering psychological consultation to mental health team members.
We have good links to the D. Clin Psych training course at Leeds, offering placements to trainees, supervising research and providing teaching.
