Main duties of the job

Youll share responsibility for coordinating courses and events across multiple venues, ensuring they are safe, welcoming, and inclusive. Working closely with partners and our admin team, youll maintain clear communication and effective scheduling to support the smooth running of the College. Youll help ensure the College reflects its community and offers wider progression routes and pathways for learners into community provision and vocational opportunities. Flexibility is keyyoull work across venues and offices, with some home working, to stay connected and productive.

At the time of advertising, this role does not meet the minimum requirements (salary threshold or occupational requirements)set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. JOB SUMMARY

The post holder will be responsible to the Pathways Team Manager for the delivery of specific projects designed to ensure the effective development of the Recovery College in Kirklees.

The post holder will have no budgetary, signatory or line management responsibilities.

The post holder will supervise staff involved in the Recovery College on a day to day basis to ensure effective delivery.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of the College including developing the prospectus, marketing the courses, enrolling students, co-ordination of the tutors and peer training and management of volunteers.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

1. Use initiative to deal with issues relating to the Recovery College delegated by the Pathways Team Manager taking action to ensure urgent issues are dealt with appropriately.

2. In conjunction with the Recovery College Steering group and the Pathways Team Manger will prepare business cases which facilitate the development of the Recovery College.

3. Manage prospectus or elements of projects within the Recovery College supporting, facilitating and monitoring the progress of project work. To plan key workstreams in relation to projects.

4. Understanding Recovery College project work; namely

  • Co-ordinating the volunteer element of the Recovery College, devising appropriate training for volunteers and providing vocational and emotional support for volunteers.
  • To be responsible for enrolling students on courses and developing their learning plans.
  • To assist in providing information, advice and guidance for students.
  • To co-ordinate the prospectus
  • To co-ordinate the tutors and volunteers
  • To support and oversee the day to day running of the Recovery College library and monitor its use.

5. Communicate information clearly and effectively to all those engaging in the Recovery College and to other stakeholders. Use a range of influencing and negotiating skills, receiving, handling and forwarding as necessary incoming and outgoing correspondence (email, letter, fax & telephone)

6. To establish and sustain efficient administration procedures and systems in conjunction with Recovery College admin staff.

7. Work with all members of the Recovery College to involve them in service improvement and development.

8. Collect statistical information on an ad hoc and regular basis relating to the Recovery College and prepare reports for circulation within the Recovery and the wider organisation.

9. Arrange schedule and co-ordinate meetings and events taking notes and minutes and being responsible for actions identified in meetings being delivered.

10. Manage own workload effectively in accordance with the priorities of the Recovery College, seeking advice and guidance as appropriate.

11. Actively participate in regular supervision sessions with Pathways Team Manager.

12. Participate in individual staff development reviews annually understanding all mandatory training as required and any additional training and personal development as agreed.
