The North Kirklees Early
Intervention in Psychosis Service is looking for a dedicated Family
Intervention Worker (Band 7). Your role would be to provide evidence-based
family interventions to service users and their families. You would work as an
integrated part of the MDT, and co-work families with other team members. To
apply you should have training in, and experience of delivering FI in either an
EIS or similar setting. You will be joining an early intervention team of
individuals who are enthusiastic and hard working. We provide a NICE concordant
care package to service users who experience first episode of psychosis or are
at risk of developing it.
We work 9-5pm, Monday to Friday and cover the North
Kirklees Area.

Main duties of the job
In adherence
with NICE Guidelines, the post-holder will provide evidence-based Family
Intervention for Psychosis (FI) sessions to EIS service users and their carers
in North Kirklees, where the population is diverse. These FI sessions will
typically be co-worked with other team members, including psychologists,
nurses, social workers and occupational therapists.
It is required
that you hold a core mental health qualification such as Mental Health Nurse,
Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or clinical/counselling psychologist and
you have a Relevant Professional registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC) and you have
also completed recognised training in Family Interventions in Psychosis (FI)
It
is also essential that you have experience of working with psychosis or with at
risks mental state cases. Furthermore you have experience of engaging service
users and their carers as well as delivering evidence-based models of Family
Intervention in Psychosis.

JOB SUMMARY
