37.5 Hour Per Week
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Band 7 Advanced Nurse
Practitioner (Non-Medical Prescriber) with an interest in Neurodevelopmental
conditions, with a particular specialist interest in ADHD.
You
will play a key role in the development of ADHD services with a commitment to
ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service. You will play a pivotal role
in the nursing contribution to
the development of the ADHD provision in Kirklees as part of a wider service
investment in trainee ACPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
You will use your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to explore
appropriate care and treatment options where a diagnosis of ADHD has been given.
You will work as an autonomous prescriber where you will manage a dedicated
caseload. You will work collaboratively alongside CAMHS
Consultant Psychiatrists, Trainee ACPs and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.

Main duties of the job
Work as part of the well-established non-medical
prescribing team.
Hold overall case responsibility for an individual caseload
of children and young people.
Complete ADHD review clinics, offering independent and
supplementary prescribing, medication monitoring and physical health monitoring
and non-pharmacological, evidence-based interventions.
Liaise with primary and secondary care services.
Attend supervision with the NMP team and the Medic team.
Provide expert ADHD specialist practice and demonstrate
enhanced competence in complex clinical decision making, assessment and
management of clinical needs.
Work in partnership with children and young people and
their families to ensure effectiveness of outcomes.
Mentor, supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff
including students.
Participate in data collection and audits as part of
service improvement.

support the Locality teams in developing alternative ways of working through
the introduction of Non Medical Prescribing
The post holder will practice as a non-medical prescriber (independent/supplementary

protocols.
Prescribe
as an independent/supplementary prescriber within ones scope of competency and in
accordance with Trust and national policies.
Following
national training and a period of actively prescribing as a supplementary prescriber,

Be
responsible and accountable for the assessment of the patient with diagnosed
and undiagnosed conditions and for decisions about the
clinical management required including prescribing as agreed with Consultant

Work in close collaboration with medical personnel
regarding prescribing protocols, policies etc. and where necessary work
