Job summary

Full Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week

Role will be covering both the Calderdale CAMHS Eating Disorder and ARFID pathways within the service. They will offer assessments and interventions appropriate for the needs of the young people within our service. They will have opportunities to develop services for the needs of local populations. We offer training in areas where you may feel you needs some development. Supervision will be offered within your professional group as well having the opportunity to supervise other staff and develop their practice. We are a growing team from a well established and supportive team following substantial investment.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will offer Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to young people with symptomology of Eating Disorders or ARFID, as well as engaging families to empower them all to support recovery. You will also support our band 5 Occupational Therapist and offer supervision as well as be linked in with the wider OT network. To use outcome measures to ensure that goals are being met and that the young person is moving towards recovery. Care planning and risk assessment are important parts of this role, as well as completing goal based outcomes as appropriate for the role. Maintaining a high standard of care and working within the Trusts values.

To facilitate collaborative working across occupational therapy, maximizing on the skills of the therapists, therapy assistants and other staff.

In the capacity as a representative of the therapy services to liaise with the consultants and other medical, therapy and nursing staff, social services, voluntary agencies and the private sector.

To be professionally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, including management of patients with complex needs.

To plan and prioritise own patient caseload (where appropriate), with highly complex needs, using highly specialist occupational therapy skills. Assess and analyse occupational performance to identify problem areas in order to plan and carry out goal orientated intervention programmes with the patients. Balancing risk, safety and patient choice in order to promote maximum independence.
