Full Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week

Calderdale and Kirklees Rehabilitation pathway have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, and dedicated practitioner to lead their pathway.

We are looking for skilled and strong individual who will lead and continue the service development of the rehabilitation pathway.

The postholder will have responsibility and will maintain clinical oversight & leadership of the Rehabilitation Pathway in Calderdale and Kirklees.

They will be expected to work autonomously with all partners including ICB & Local Authorities to provide clinical expertise and leadership into the decision making for Service Users with Complex Mental Health Needs, as well as work across the wider rehab pathway, and in conjunction with the ICS Complex Care and Rehabilitation Network.

The postholder will continue to lead on the service development of the rehabilitation pathway, which includes Inpatient and Community rehab services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to ensure the pathway delivers high quality provision of specialist assessments, and therapeutic interventions for service users who require rehabilitation, as well provide clinical expertise into decision making for complex individuals.

The post holder will be part of the senior leadership team, providing assurances that the pathway delivers high quality care and meets the expected standards.

They will provide operational and clinical leadership for the pathway, as well as work closely with the other service managers and matrons in the delivery of the acute and rehabilitation services.

Applicants must have substantial experience of working in Rehab services at a senior level and have extensive knowledge and experience of working within ICB and ICS systems.

  1. Managing, motivating and advising staff within the service and being accountable to the General Manager for the delivery of the Rehabilitation Services in Calderdale and Kirklees.
  2. Managing staff recruitment and retention and undertaking the role of appointing officer at interview panels.
  3. Ensure that all staff within the service receive annual appraisals and supervision in line with relevant Human Resources policies ensuring personal development needs are identified and linked with service requirements.
  4. Undertake appraisals of senior staff within the service.
  5. Manage staff absence in line with Human Resources policy.
