Full Time - 37.5 Hours Per Week

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Band 7 CBT Therapist or Psychologist.

You will play a key role within the service with a commitment to ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service. You will play a role within the wider MDT to ensure that Children and Young People and their families are provided with the right intervention from the right service. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in the assessment, formulation and treatment of mental ill health. You will use your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to explore appropriate treatment and care options with other team members as well as the wider Open Minds Partnership in Calderdale. Supervision is given and you will be responsible for delivering clinical supervision to others within the service, where appropriate. We are keen to further develop our workforce to ensure it remains a high quality service for our area.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will work within the Neurodevelopmental team to assess children and young people who may have autism, ADHD or both. This is within an MDT approach. We are also developing our ADHD medication pathway to ensure that young people who would benefit from medication can access this in a timely manner. As part of the role supervision and leadership would be required with support from both the clinical lead and the team manager. The ability to work both independently to form clinical decisions and within the wider team is an important part of this role. The right candidate will share our passion for ascertaining whether a young person has a neuro developmental condition and therefore access the appropriate support to meet their full potential. You would need to be able to communicate effectively with other staff within the service as well as be able to engage well with young people who may have difficulties engaging as well as their parents and carers and staff both within the neurodevelopmental team. A desire to improve the lives of young people with these conditions is a core requirement with enthusiasm and to be able to work with us to develop the best service for the young people of Calderdale.
