Job summary

We are currently seeking 2 motivated and dynamic individuals to join our nursing team on our Older Adult ward in Dewsbury, known as Ward 19.

Ward 19 is a split-gender older adults inpatient ward at The Priestley Unit, Dewsbury District Hospital and is for the assessment and treatment of any form of mental health condition for service users usually over the age of 65 years. Our multi-disciplinary ward team also comprises Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy and a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist.

We aim to provide the highest standard of inpatient assessment, treatment, and care in a safe, therapeutic, and least restrictive environment as possible.

You will be well supported and encouraged to develop your clinical competencies within a stimulating learning environment. We encourage you to learn, develop and grow!

Main duties of the job

What matters to us is your passion, commitment, and determination to succeed. You will have excellent communication skills, a commitment to working flexibly and be happy to participate in the internal 24 hours, 7 day a week rota to meet the needs of people who use our services.

You will be thoughtful and resilient in the way you care for our service users in a busy mental health setting with exciting challenges.

This is a full-time post.

Workload Management
